Maria Agata Szymanowska (1789-1831) was a Polish composer and one of the first professional pianists in the 19th century. She performed all over Europe and eventually settled in St. Petersburg, Russia. There she composed for the royal court, gave concerts, and taught music.

Most of her compositions are piano pieces and small chamber works.

Today's videos have a nice variety. The Three Waltzes are peppy and fun. If you can teach your children to do a simple waltz, they will have fun dancing around the house to these tunes. :)

Etude No. 9 is also lively and fun.

Polonaise is quieter at spots but takes us on an emotional tour.
