Hi! My name is Gena Mayo and I'm a homeschool mom of 8 (this is my 17th year homeschooling) and a music teacher for over 25 years. I'm absolutely thrilled to have you join me for this Music 101 Homeschool Mom Workshop to help you learn more about music!

Through the prerecorded sessions I'll be teaching you about basic music reading; an overview of music history with famous composers and styles; and instruments, instrument families, and the genres they typically play. We'll have a lot of fun in the 30-minute workshop each day learning together!

My goal is for you to feel empowered to help your kids learn music. You'll understand the basic terminology of music, which sometimes feels like a foreign language to those who have never taken music lessons.

We'll have fun, too! I love music, and I love teaching it!
