Conservation of Portrait of a Lady

I'm always fascinated by videos that show conservation efforts. Art is so often our witness to history, and the preservation of artworks is incredibly important. So much science goes into each conservation effort, with each painting needing a very specific approach to attend to the original materials, type and extent of damage done, and so forth.

Today we get to learn about the conservation of Copley's Portrait of a Lady. Beautifully done!
